As a graduate of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute in 2023 Patrick offers Structural Integration based on the methods developed by Dr. Ida Rolf and her devotees.
Structural integration is a hands-on, movement-education approach that works with the body’s connective tissue to improve alignment, ease of movement, and postural organization. Sessions typically combine focused manual therapy, guided movement and breathing education to release chronic patterns of tension, restore balanced support from the ground up, and enhance proprioception. The practitioner assess whole-body relationships and apply sustained, precise soft-tissue work alongside movement re-education to promote more efficient posture, reduced discomfort, and greater freedom of motion.

Assisted stretching sessions are performed by Monica.
What assisted stretching is
Assisted stretching is a hands-on, therapist-guided series of stretches tailored to your body. Instead of you pushing through the stretches alone, Monica uses controlled positioning, gentle traction, and partner-assisted techniques to increase joint range of motion, restore muscle balance, and improve tissue extensibility. Sessions combine static holds, active-assisted movements, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) methods to safely lengthen tight muscles and enhance mobility.
Who benefits from assisted stretching
Athletes: enhances flexibility, improves performance, reduces injury risk, and speeds recovery between workouts or competitions.
Desk workers and sedentary individuals: relieves tightness in hips, shoulders, and spine caused by prolonged sitting and restores postural balance.
People with chronic muscle tension or pain: reduces muscle guarding and improves functional movement when integrated with a broader care plan.
Older adults: safely increases joint mobility, supports balance, and helps maintain independence in daily activities.
Movement practitioners (yoga, pilates, dance): deepens range of motion and helps access more advanced positions with safer mechanics.
Those in rehabilitation or returning from minor soft-tissue issues: complements physical therapy by addressing flexibility limitations under controlled guidance (coordination with your medical provider is recommended).
Session notes
Monica assesses individual needs and mobility restrictions, then customizes each session.
Treatments are performed with clear communication, gradual progression, and respect for pain-free barriers.
Typical results include improved range of motion, decreased stiffness, and a greater ease of movement; multiple sessions often yield the most lasting change.

Item description
Yin yoga is a slow, meditative practice that targets the body’s connective tissues—ligaments, fascia and deep joints—through passive, long-held poses. Rather than engaging large muscle groups, Yin invites surrender: poses are held for several minutes to encourage release, increase joint mobility, and cultivate stillness of mind. The practice emphasizes breath awareness, subtle sensations, and gradual yielding, making it a restorative complement to more active styles of yoga and a powerful tool for stress reduction, flexibility, and nervous system regulation.
Monica will be leading regular Yin yoga classes; times to be determined.

Gua sha is a traditional East Asian therapeutic technique that uses a smooth-edged tool to scrape the skin, promoting circulation and lymphatic drainage. Performed by trained practitioners, it can relieve muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and support a refreshed, more even complexion when integrated into a holistic wellness plan.

Internal Martial Arts (內家拳)
I teach and practice internal martial arts — styles that train the body's structure and the mind's focus together, rather than relying on speed or strength. This isn't separate from the bodywork I do; it's the same underlying principle, just trained actively instead of received hands-on. -
Standing Meditation (站椿)
Standing meditation is a simple but demanding practice: stand still, breathe, and let your body find real structural balance instead of habitual tension. It's one of the most direct ways I know to build the kind of body awareness that makes everything else — Rolfing, movement, daily life — work better. -

Experience a one-hour silent tea ceremony drawn from a 300‑year lineage of Daoist White Tea practice. Conducted in mindful stillness, the ceremony honors simplicity, naturalness, and the quiet transmission of presence. Each session is guided by a practitioner steeped in ancestral forms: select white teas are prepared with measured attention to water, vessel, and timing.
